The Changwon area entered the indirect influence zone of the typhoon from the afternoon of the 5th, with strong winds and heavy rain starting, but as of 6:30 a.m. on the 6th, when the typhoon passed through the Changwon area, no casualties caused by the typhoon had been reported.
The city issued pre-evacuation orders to 146 residents near 108 disaster-prone areas to prevent casualties, relocating them to 54 evacuation shelters including 16 administrative welfare centers, 12 senior citizen centers, and 13 village halls, and completed the actual evacuation.
The city plans to lift the evacuation orders after assessing the situation following the typhoon’s passage over the Korean Peninsula and will inspect whether there is any damage to the homes and properties of returning residents.
