SK Telecom Link Collaborates with Mobile Overseas Remittance Specialist for Marketing and More
Signing of Strategic Business Agreement with Hanpass
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] 00700 international calling service provider SK Telink announced on the 6th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with Hanpass, a mobile overseas remittance service specialist company, to provide joint marketing and partnership services.
Hanpass launched a mobile easy overseas remittance service in 2018 based on fintech technology. It provides services such as overseas remittance, electronic payment, and currency exchange, achieving 1.2 million application (app) downloads and a cumulative overseas remittance transaction amount of 3.3 trillion KRW.
The two companies judged that Hanpass and 00701 share the same main customer base, which can create a synergy effect. They plan to provide joint marketing so that foreign customers residing in Korea, such as migrant women, foreign workers, and international students, can conveniently use international calls, overseas remittance, and prepaid card services using Hanpass Pay Wallet.
First, through online advertisements, websites, smartphone apps, and offline stores, international call discounts and free overseas remittance coupons will be provided to foreign customers. Additionally, Hanpass will conduct a currency exchange rate compensation campaign so that customers sending money to the United States, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom can enjoy the lowest exchange rate benefits.
SK Telink will hold the ‘Let’s Party 00701 Time’ event throughout September, providing CU convenience store gift certificates and other rewards to customers using the 'K-CALL 00701' service. SK Telink recently launched the K-CALL 00701 service to meet the increasing international communication demand of foreign customers.
