Korail Gwangju Jeonnam "Partial Train Service Suspended from 8 PM Tonight"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Korea Railroad Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters (KORAIL) announced on the 5th that, as a preemptive measure against the northward advance of Typhoon 'Hinnamnor', the operation sections of some trains on the Honam Line, Jeolla Line, and Gyeongjeon Line will be adjusted or suspended from 8 p.m. on the 5th to 3 p.m. on the 6th.
Specifically, on the Honam Line, trains will operate only between Yongsan and Gwangju Songjeong Station, and will not run to Mokpo Station.
On the Jeolla Line, trains will operate only between Yongsan and Jeonju/Iksan Stations, and will not run to Yeosu Expo Station.
Some train operation sections will be adjusted, and on the Gyeongjeon Line, all trains between Bujeon, Suncheon, Gwangju Songjeong, and Mokpo will be suspended.
In particular, KTX Honam Line train number 404 (departing Mokpo at 5:21 a.m.) will suspend operation between Mokpo Station and Gwangju Songjeong Station, and on the Jeolla Line, train number 502 (departing Yeosu Expo at 5 a.m.) will suspend operation between Yeosu Expo Station and Jeonju Station.
KORAIL requested passengers to pay close attention to the latest information as additional changes may occur due to worsening weather conditions caused by the typhoon's northward movement.
