[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] KCC has sponsored automotive repair paint for the automotive paint category at the '2022 57th National Skills Competition,' continuing its sponsorship for 25 years this year.
This National Skills Competition is an event hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education. Since 1998, KCC has fulfilled its responsibility as a sponsor by supplying paint for the automotive painting category. This year, KCC is sponsoring over 1 ton of paint, and during the competition period, two KCC paint technical staff members are stationed on-site to assist with smooth competition operations. Additionally, KCC provides an environment where participating athletes can train (practice and rehearse) in automotive painting at the KCC RTC (Automotive Repair Paint Training Center).
A KCC official stated, "Medalists at the National Skills Competition become candidates for the International Skills Olympics, and South Korea is a powerhouse in skills, consistently competing for first and second place at the International Skills Olympics," adding, "Supplying paint for the competition and providing an environment for athletes to train directly contributes to enhancing national prestige, making it very meaningful."
