Jangseong-gun to Launch 'Finding Ancestral Land' Online Service Starting from the 5th
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will launch the ‘Ancestor Land Search’ online service starting from the 5th to alleviate the inconvenience caused by in-person application visits by civil petitioners.
The ‘Ancestor Land Search’ is a system that, in cases where it is impossible to identify land owned by ancestors due to unexpected deaths or accidents, provides the status of land owned by the ancestors to the heirs after a simple verification process.
The online service is available for searching land owned by parents, spouses, or children who died after January 1, 2008, whose death and family relationships can be confirmed through basic certificates and family relation certificates. Applications can be made via Government24, the National Spatial Information Portal, K-Geo Platform, and other channels.
A county official stated, “Although the number of applications for the Ancestor Land Search service has been increasing every year, there was the inconvenience of having to apply in person. We hope that by providing this online service to enhance convenience for civil petitioners, residents will actively utilize it to exercise their property rights.”
