The enforcement easing hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing parking, but traffic guidance will be provided by market management entities depending on the on-site situation.
This enforcement easing was promoted to revitalize traditional markets struggling due to COVID-19 and to improve convenience for citizens using them.
In particular, during this period, illegal parking enforcement on roads around downtown traditional markets will be relaxed, and traffic guidance will be conducted simultaneously to resolve disorder and ensure safety.
Additionally, the public parking lots at Gwangsan-gu 1913 Songjeong Station, Songjeong 5-day, Songjeong Daily, Bia 5-day, Wolgok Market, and Seo-gu Yangdong Market’s covered parking will be open free of charge for citizens using traditional markets during the Chuseok holiday period (September 9?12).
However, parking is strictly prohibited and will be immediately enforced in the four major illegal parking zones: within 5 meters of fire hydrants, within 5 meters of intersections (corners), within 10 meters of bus stops, and crosswalks, as well as for double parking, bus-only lanes, and children protection zones, to ensure citizen safety and traffic flow.
