At NFL Stadium: 'Flying Kick' ... Taekwondo Performance and K-Culture Expansion 'Doing' Dongmyeong University on the Rise in the US
Challenge, Experience, Practice Do-ing University Continues Eurasia Crossing with "This Time, Heading to the USA"

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University will showcase ‘K Taekwondo’ on the stage of the U.S. professional American football (NFL), which receives the world’s largest advertising ‘spotlight’.
Having recently completed the Eurasia Transcontinental Project, Dongmyung University, which has embarked on the ‘Do-ing Talent’ cultivation project themed on challenge and practice, plans to head to the U.S. this second semester to make an impact.
From the 22nd of this month to October 3rd, for 12 days, Dongmyung University announced on the 1st that three enrolled students, nine Angel Peace Art Troupe members, and one supervising professor will spread K culture in Washington DC, the NFL stadium, and the Lincoln Memorial Plaza in the U.S.
This is part of the Do-ing Project to spread the Korean Wave worldwide, including the 2022 USA NFL invitation performance and Korean cultural festival performances.
The 13 ‘Do-ing People’ include Professor Won Hyeong-jin of Dongmyung University’s Do-ING Department (Taekwondo Director of Angel Peace Art Troupe, Technical Committee Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union), and students Park Joo-eun (Military Science 4th year), Lee Ga-young (Military Science 2nd year), Kim Hee-seon (Aviation Service 2nd year), along with nine Angel Peace Art Troupe members.
During the 12 days, they will hold ▲ a triangular cooperative performance among Dongmyung University, Angel Peace Taekwondo members, and U.S. MBA Taekwondo members ▲ a Taekwondo demonstration performance during the NFL game halftime ▲ a Korean cultural (Taekwondo demonstration) performance at the Lincoln Memorial Korean cultural festival ▲ and a dance performance by Dongmyung University’s character ‘Ttuing Siblings.’
Dean Gam Young-hee of Dongmyung University’s Do-ing College emphasized, “Through local performances, we will further spread the values of Do-ing education?challenge, experience, and practice?as well as K Taekwondo, K-POP, and K cultural arts sports to the world.”
Dongmyung University’s Do-ing Project is accelerating comprehensively like this.
To strengthen sports culture and arts education, Dongmyung University appointed Kim Il-chul, chairman of the Special Committee for Hosting the World Taekwondo Headquarters Center, who has contributed to the development of Korea’s medical management and international Taekwondo cooperation, as an endowed professor in August.
National singer Insooni was also appointed as an endowed professor to engage in innovative education in fields such as K-POP private lessons and musical performances.
Freshman Nam Hyo-yeon and Do-ing College student Kim Min-seong previously completed the ‘Eurasia Peace Expedition Corps’ activity, which involved crossing 12 countries and over 20,000 km by SUV and camping car from early June to early August, praying for the 2030 World Expo bid. Do-ing College recognized this activity by awarding academic credits (Pioneering Subject, Foreign Exploration).
President Jeon Ho-hwan of Dongmyung University said, “It is important not just to accumulate knowledge but to fully demonstrate capabilities in reality. We will nurture practical Do-ing talents based on a spirit of challenge and passion in all departments.”
President Jeon recently watched the movie ‘Hansan’ with military officer candidates and emphasized, “I hope they feel the 21st-century leadership that will change the world beyond Korea and strengthen their will to practice it.”
Dongmyung University attracted attention by enabling students to attend classes and secure local employment at San Francisco State University, which ranks in the TOP 20 universities with the highest employment rate in Silicon Valley, by paying only Dongmyung University tuition.
This local learning and employment guarantee Global Campus program will also be implemented at Columbia College. Dongmyung University will cover the entire tuition difference during the enrollment period for students participating in these prestigious U.S. university dispatch education programs.

The university plans to select 1,537 students (94.5% of the total quota of 1,627) for regular admissions and 149 students for extra-quota admissions from the 13th to the 17th during the rolling admissions period.
