SK Ecoplant Supports Happy Lunchboxes for Food-Insecure Children in Buk-gu, Ulsan

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SK Ecoplant announced on the 31st that it signed a business agreement on the 30th with Ulsan Buk-gu Office, Happy Alliance, and Happy Dosirak for the ‘Happy Dookki Project.’ Through this agreement, they agreed to provide Happy Dosirak, consisting of high-quality side dishes, for one year to about 40 children at risk of food insecurity living in Buk-gu, Ulsan.
The signing ceremony held at Ulsan Buk-gu Office was attended by Lee Sung-nyeo, SK Ecoplant ESG Promotion Executive, Park Cheon-dong, Mayor of Ulsan Buk-gu, Lim Eun-mi, Director of Happy Alliance, and Choi Kang-jong, Chairman of Happy Dosirak.
The Happy Dookki Project is a public-private partnership initiative that continuously supports children at risk of food insecurity. Aiming for ‘zero child hunger’ in Korea, companies, local governments, and citizens are working together to build a regional network and pool their efforts. Happy Alliance, which leads the project, is a social contribution network working to solve child welfare blind spots, currently collaborating with 112 companies, 44 local governments, and 300,000 general citizens.

Ulsan Buk-gu Office selects the target children and plans to continuously support the child meal assistance system even after the project. The social enterprise Happy Dosirak is responsible for manufacturing and delivering the dosirak.
