Daejeon City "Welcomes Confirmation and Announcement of Defense Acquisition Program Administration's Relocation to Daejeon"
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The relocation of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) to Daejeon has been confirmed.
On the 31st, the Daejeon city government announced that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport officially designated and notified DAPA as a public institution to be relocated to Daejeon as of that day.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport posted in the official gazette the designation and notification of DAPA as a relocated public institution, stating that moving DAPA to Daejeon, where related organizations are concentrated, is effective for organic linkage, collaboration, and creating synergy effects.
Regarding the confirmation and notification of DAPA's relocation to Daejeon, Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon expressed his welcome, saying, "I sincerely thank President Yoon Seok-yeol and officials from central government ministries who supported DAPA's move to Daejeon."
He added, "Now that the relocation of DAPA to Daejeon has been finalized, the city will focus its administrative efforts on preparing for the institution's move and will spare no support for the relocation of about 250 personnel, including the command staff, to the region in the first half of next year."
