Raised 20 Million Won in Donations Through Eco-Friendly Campaign

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Homeplus announced on the 29th that, as part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, it donated 20 million KRW to the Homeplus e-Paranjae Foundation to support environmental education for children, in collaboration with Lotte Chilsung Beverage.
The donation will be used for a children's environmental education program that raises awareness about the importance of environmental protection, such as proper plastic waste separation. From April to July, the two companies jointly conducted an eco-friendly campaign, and a portion of the sales from six types of label-free Lotte Chilsung Beverage products?including cider, cola, and bottled water?sold at eco-friendly displays in Homeplus stores nationwide was allocated as the donation.
Homeplus is striving to achieve its ESG management goal this year of "reducing waste to create a healthy planet." The plan includes reducing 10,000 tons of plastic waste, 550 tons of paper waste, and greenhouse gas emissions by 15% within the year to internalize carbon neutrality.
