Over 80 Evacuated Including Newborns Due to Fire at Busan Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] A fire broke out on the 7th floor of an obstetrics and gynecology building in Dongnae-gu, Busan, at 7:12 a.m. on the 27th.
According to the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, immediately after the fire, a total of 83 people evacuated, including 36 newborns, 36 mothers, and 11 hospital staff members.
The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes on the 7th floor. Some furnishings were burned, causing an estimated property damage of 1 million KRW according to the fire department, but there were no casualties.
