Bucheon Citizens' Clinic of Bucheon Medical Welfare Social Cooperative, a participating medical institution in Bucheon City's community integrated care home visit medical service, was selected as a medical institution for the home medical care center pilot project based on years of experience in home visit medical care.
The home medical care team, consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, provides comprehensive home visit medical services including medical care, long-term care, care service linkage, and monitoring to recipients of long-term care benefits (grades 1 to 4) who have mobility difficulties and require home medical care.
Patients who previously only took medication without face-to-face consultations, with family members proxy-prescribing the medication, can now have their health status checked through visits by the home medical care center staff, which is expected to prevent disease aggravation and complications.
Costs associated with using the home medical care center will incur partial out-of-pocket expenses for health insurance-covered home visit medical fees, depending on the recipient's health status and prescription details.
