SRT Chuseok Holiday Ticket Reservation Rate Records 73.6%
Payment must be made by the 28th

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SR, the operator of SRT, announced on the 26th that out of 295,000 seats supplied for SRT ticket reservations during the Chuseok holiday from the 23rd to the 25th, 217,000 seats were sold, recording a reservation rate of 73.6%.
The reservation rate increased by 0.9 percentage points compared to last year's Chuseok and by 2.8 percentage points compared to Chuseok in 2019 before COVID-19. In particular, for the first time in two years since COVID-19, ticket reservations were made for all seats during the holiday, resulting in an approximately twofold increase in the average daily number of reservations.
By route, 154,000 seats on the Gyeongbu Line and 63,000 seats on the Honam Line were reserved, with reservation rates of 72.6% and 76.3%, respectively.
The day with the highest number of outbound travelers was September 9th, the day before Chuseok, with a downward line reservation rate of 94.5%. The day with the most return travelers was September 12th, the last day of the holiday, showing the highest reservation rate of 95.8% on the upward line.
Tickets reserved during the holiday reservation period must be paid for by midnight on the 28th. Tickets not paid for within the period will be automatically canceled, and automatically canceled tickets will be allocated to those on the waiting list.
Customers who reserved tickets by phone on the 23rd and are elderly or disabled must visit the station ticket counter with their ID (resident registration card, disability registration card) by the 28th to make on-site payment and receive the physical ticket.
Unsold remaining seats can be purchased as usual from 3 p.m. on the 25th via the SRT app, website, or at railway station counters nationwide.
