According to the "High-ranking Public Officials' Asset Registration Status" disclosed in the government gazette by the Public Service Ethics Committee on the 26th, Vice Chairman Kim reported assets worth 29.20449 billion KRW. This is the largest amount among current officials. The top three current officials in terms of assets include Vice Chairman Kim, Lee Jongho, Minister of Science and ICT (16.04305 billion KRW), and Kim Taehyo, First Deputy Director of the National Security Office (12.06465 billion KRW).
The largest portion of Vice Chairman Kim's assets was securities. The securities reported by Kim amounted to 21.29719 billion KRW. Among these, shares in the unlisted company Jungang Shipping were valued at 20.92353 billion KRW, accounting for 71% of the total reported assets. Vice Chairman Kim holds 210,687 shares of Jungang Shipping, representing a 29.26% stake. Jungang Shipping is a family company of Vice Chairman Kim, with Kim Jiyoung, CEO of Jungang Shipping, being Kim's older brother. CEO Kim holds 59.05% of the company's shares. A review of the job-relatedness of the shares currently held by Vice Chairman Kim in Jungang Shipping is underway. Depending on the review results, a decision will be made whether to continue holding, sell, or place the shares in a blind trust.
In addition to Jungang Shipping, Vice Chairman Kim also owns listed stocks including Samsung Electronics (2,000 shares), LG Electronics (547 shares), Asiana Airlines (599 shares), Woori Financial Group (545 shares), BK Holdings (12,000 shares), and Central Insight (2,200 shares), valued at 314.3 million KRW. Regarding these stocks, except for some shares, the rest have been sold in compliance with the Public Officials Ethics Act's stock sale and blind trust system.

Furthermore, Vice Chairman Kim reported buildings worth 5.18746 billion KRW, including an apartment and officetel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, jointly owned with the spouse, and forest land under the spouse's name valued at 57.93 million KRW. Personal deposits amounted to 3.4235 billion KRW.
