Prosecutors Complete 8-Hour Search of 3 Related Organizations in Ministry of Industry's 'Blacklist' Case (Comprehensive)
Allegations of Abuse of Authority in the Appointment of Association Executives
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Prosecutors investigating the Moon Jae-in administration's 'blacklist allegations' conducted a search and seizure of affiliated organizations under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 25th.
The Criminal Division 6 of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Seo Hyun-wook) sent prosecutors and investigators to three organizations?the Korea Glass Window Association (formerly the Korea Glass Industry Association), the Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, and the Korea Lubricants Industry Association?from the morning for about eight hours to secure related materials.
These organizations are non-profit corporations established with approval from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and are supervised by the ministry.
A prosecution official explained, "Regarding the appointment of association executives, clues similar to abuse of authority by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy were found in terms of timing and form, and the facts were verified."

The prosecution began the related investigation in March of this year by conducting search and seizure operations at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, its affiliated power subsidiaries, and eight public institutions. In May, six affiliated organizations were also searched and seized.
