View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] A man who abused a 7-month-old kitten by kicking it with his foot has been reported to the police by an animal protection organization.
The incident was revealed by member A, who reported it to the Busan Animal Love Stray Cat Protection Alliance on the 3rd.
On that day, A shared on the alliance's bulletin board that the kitten named ‘Banggu’ had been abused.
According to A, there was a kitten raised together by the owner and employees at a repair shop in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, and after returning from overseas, A noticed that Banggu was limping as if its leg was injured.
A heard from another employee that “the newly hired B stepped on the cat’s paw, causing the leg to swell,” and immediately took Banggu to an animal hospital.
Examination revealed that Banggu had four broken leg bones and received treatment including the insertion of two pins and a cast.

The abuse, which was almost buried, was revealed after B resigned.
A said, “Around the time the cat was injured, the CCTV monitor was broken and the screen was off, but B seemed to think the CCTV itself was broken,” and “Just in case, after replacing the monitor and checking, I found out that the cat’s injury was not an accident but intentional.”
The CCTV footage confirmed by A clearly showed B kicking the kitten, which weighed only 1.7 kg, like a soccer ball, and chasing the terrified cat, kicking it multiple times.
The head of the protection group said, “This is absolutely unacceptable,” and “B thought there was no evidence, so he has neither apologized nor felt any guilt until now,” expressing hope for “the maximum punishment for animal abuse.”
