'Innovative Products at a Glance' Public Procurement Service Holds Regional Touring Exhibition of Innovative Products in Busan
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service (PPS) will hold an exhibition from the 24th to the 25th at BEXCO in Busan, where innovative companies and innovative products from the Yeongnam region can be seen in one place.
According to the PPS on the 24th, this exhibition is part of the "Regional Touring Exhibition of Innovative Products," jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the PPS, Korea Expressway Corporation, and Korea Electric Power Corporation.
Previously, the PPS held the Central region exhibition in Daejeon from the 10th to the 11th and the Honam region exhibition in Gwangju from the 17th to the 18th.
At the Yeongnam region exhibition, the third schedule of the touring exhibition, visitors can see innovative products from 58 innovative companies, including 40 companies selected by the PPS and 18 companies selected by the Technology Market.
Among them, 12 products produced by companies in the Yeongnam region are included, such as LED floor-type pedestrian traffic lights and AI smart fire extinguishers.
Additionally, various side events such as purchase consultation meetings and public institution purchasing officers' roundtable meetings will be held during the exhibition. The purchase consultation meeting is expected to be attended by purchasing officers from 140 public institutions in the Yeongnam region, including Busan City, Busan Urban Corporation, and Dalseong-gun Facilities Corporation.

Lee Jong-wook, Administrator of the PPS, said, "The regional touring exhibition has the significance of raising public awareness of the innovative procurement system and promoting the public purchase of innovative products by public institutions." He added, "The PPS will strive to make the innovative procurement system a leading policy representing the future changes in Korea and the new government's private-led innovative growth by using the exhibition as a stepping stone."
