Gyeonggi Office of Education Supports Native English Instructors at Special Schools...Nation's First
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will support native English-speaking instructors at special schools.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced on the 24th that, for the first time nationwide, it will provide English classes taught by native speakers to students at special schools in the province starting from the second semester of this year to offer foreign language and cultural experiences.
The support for native English classes focuses on helping students with developmental disabilities experience other cultures through English lessons alongside the basic curriculum of special schools, and on enhancing their social adaptability by developing basic daily English communication skills.
Accordingly, classes will be conducted with native instructors centered on play and activities. In particular, they will be linked with creative experiential activities and after-school education, and evaluation sessions such as satisfaction surveys will also be conducted.
