FKI Holds Seminar to Explore Advanced Technology Security
Held on the 30th at 2 PM in the FKI Conference Center
Analysis of Domestic Advanced Technology Leakage and Exploration of Policy Tasks
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Federation of Korean Industries will hold a seminar titled "In the Era of Economic Security, How to Protect Advanced Technology" at 2 p.m. on the 30th at the FKI Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul. The event is jointly organized with the National Intelligence Service and the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
The seminar aims to analyze the current state of advanced technology leakage in Korea and explore policy tasks. Given the fierce global competition using advanced technology as a weapon and the fact that preventing technology leakage and security have emerged as key elements of national economic security, the seminar will seek solutions.
The seminar presentations will be led by Kim Ilgyu, Head of the Industrial Property Protection Policy Division at the Korean Intellectual Property Office. Mr. Kim plans to share "The Current Status of Domestic Trade Secret Protection and Policy Support Plans." The National Intelligence Service will address "The Reality of Technology Theft by Rival Countries and Countermeasures." Under the chairmanship of Professor Kim Minbae of Inha University Law School, a panel discussion on advanced technology protection measures will be held with panelists including Lawyer Kim Yunhee of Kim & Chang Law Firm, Professor Ahn Seongjin of Sungkyunkwan University Department of Computer Education, Professor Lee Gyuho of Chung-Ang University Law School, Prosecutor Choi Seonggyeom, Patent Office Investigation Advisor, and Mr. Kim.
