Voices of 365 Citizens to Be Featured in Lee O-ryeong's Book... Narrators Wanted Until Next Month 16
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Institute of the Korean Language is hosting the audiobook production project "2022 Reading Together," which captures the voices of 365 citizens.
"2022 Reading Together" focuses on books related to the Korean language and Korean culture. This year’s selected book is "Twelve Months Found in Words" by the late Yi Eoryeong, the first Minister of Culture who laid the foundation for the development of the Korean language and culture. It is a collection of prose poems compiled from the forewords he serialized in the weekly magazine "Literary Thought," which was launched in 1972 and ran until 1987.
Anyone aged 15 or older can participate in the reading. Interested participants can apply on the 2022 World Korean Language Festival website, record their reading voice, and submit it. The deadline is until the 16th of next month.
The completed audiobook can be listened to at the National Hangeul Museum event venue during the "2022 World Korean Language Festival - Hangeul & Korean Language Industry Exhibition," held from October 6 to 9.
