Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Operates 'High School Credit System Expert Training'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 16th that it operated the ‘1st High School Credit System Expert Training Course’ for 100 general high school teachers and education professionals at the Small and Medium Business Corporation Honam Training Center.
The ‘High School Credit System Expert Training Course’ was prepared to strengthen teachers' guidance capabilities in response to changes in future society, including the direction of high school education, organizing and operating school curricula tailored to students' career paths and aptitudes in preparation for the introduction of the high school credit system, and students' academic planning and management.
The course was composed of three stages: basic, advanced, and expert. The basic and advanced stages were conducted as pre-remote training, and the expert stage was conducted as in-person training.
This training, as the expert stage among the three stages, was operated in a practical format by dividing participants into five groups of 20 people each.
Participants received training on topics such as future education and the high school credit system, the high school credit system and high school curriculum, evaluation following the introduction of the high school credit system, the high school credit system and college admission processes, academic planning and subject selection practice, and the operation of joint education curricula.
