Jindo-gun Gunnae-myeon Conducts Environmental Improvement Activities for Underprivileged Groups
House Cleaning, Disinfection, and Bedding Laundry Volunteer Activities Conducted Through Public-Private Cooperation
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] In Gunnae-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, a public-private partnership project was carried out to improve the environment, including disinfection services, for marginalized groups.
Recently, the visiting welfare team and volunteers visited the homes of marginalized residents in Jeonggeo Village, Gunnae-myeon, to clean the houses, disinfect, and wash bedding.
In particular, free disinfection was conducted for elderly living alone households with poor living conditions, who are vulnerable to infectious diseases, to prevent illness and create a comfortable environment.
The volunteers said, "We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in activities that help neighbors in need," and added, "We will continue to participate in efforts to improve the environment of households in crisis, including those in welfare blind spots."
