Jangseong-gun Rated 'Excellent' in Balanced Development Project Evaluation...The Only One in Jeonnam

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do secured an incentive of 440 million KRW from the Balanced Development Special Budget by achieving an excellent grade in the 2022 Balanced Development Project evaluation.

According to the county on the 16th, the National Balanced Development Committee (hereinafter Balanced Development Committee) conducts expert evaluations annually on comprehensive subsidy projects and provides incentives to local governments that receive excellent grades.

In this year's evaluation, the county received high scores for ▲establishing an integrated promotion system inside and outside the local government ▲and the project feedback system including collecting residents' opinions.

Currently, the county is promoting the General Agricultural and Fishing Village Development Project and Growth Promotion Area Development Project, which are collaborative efforts between the Urban Regeneration Division and the Agricultural Food Distribution Division of the county office, under the Balanced Development Committee's comprehensive subsidy projects.

Jangseong is the only local government in Jeollanam-do to receive excellent grades in all evaluated projects. Only three counties, including Jangseong-gun, received excellent grades in the General Agricultural and Fishing Village Development Project category.

County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "I ask for continued efforts toward the co-growth of the nation and the region."

The county plans to invest the 440 million KRW incentive secured this time into future county projects to reduce county expenses.

Meanwhile, last year, the county was also selected as an excellent institution in the Balanced Development Project and was featured on MBC Documentary Prime.
