On the 16th, Sancheong-gun announced that it held a completion ceremony for the Sanlim Biomass Resource Center.
About 20 people attended the ceremony, including Lee Seung-hwa, the mayor of Sancheong-gun, Jeong Myeong-sun, chairman of the Sancheong-gun Council, and Hwang In-su, head of the Sancheong-gun Forestry Cooperative.
The Sanlim Biomass Resource Center, located within the Sancheong-gun Forestry Cooperative's Forest Business Office in Maechon-ri, Geumseo-myeon, Sancheong-gun Agricultural and Industrial Complex, is a facility that produces sawdust.
Last year, Sancheong-gun was selected for a Korea Forest Service public project and invested a total of 1 billion KRW to replace outdated production machinery and equipment.
In particular, through the construction of the production plant and the replacement of the sawdust crusher, production, and packaging lines, it explained that securing the safety of the production line makes it possible to produce high-quality sawdust.
It is also expected to contribute to related industries such as livestock farms, onion farms, and compost factories that use sawdust for moisture control and compost raw materials by providing high-quality sawdust.
Furthermore, the plan is to collect logs felled at local logging sites to produce sawdust, thereby increasing the utilization of domestic wood.
