KIDI: "Checking Car History for Flood-Damaged Vehicles Essential When Buying Used Cars"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Insurance Development Institute announced on the 16th that it is providing a free flood-damaged vehicle inquiry service through the Car History website to prevent flood-damaged vehicles from being circulated as accident-free vehicles in the used car market following recent heavy rains.
By accessing the Korea Insurance Development Institute's Car History website, clicking on 'Free Flood-Damaged Vehicle Inquiry,' and entering the vehicle number or chassis number, users can check whether a vehicle has been flood-damaged.
From 2020 until July of this year, a total of 11,173 flood-damaged vehicles were processed through insurance claims.
