Gangnam-gu '2022 National Safety Diagnosis'
Gangnam District Mayor Joseongmyeong Declares "Thorough Inspection of Local Facilities to Realize 'Safety No.1 Gangnam'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Seongmyeong Jo) will conduct the "2022 National Safety Inspection" for 59 days from the 17th to October 14th to identify safety blind spots and hazardous facilities through inspections of local facilities and prevent safety accidents.
During this inspection period, the district will deploy experts in architecture, electricity, and firefighting to inspect over 300 major social infrastructure sites such as local tourist accommodations, construction sites, welfare facilities, and small-scale performance venues. To guarantee residents' right to know, the inspection results will be disclosed on the "Integrated Safety Information Disclosure System."
For super high-rise buildings over 50 floors or taller than 200 meters, advanced equipment such as drones will be used to meticulously maintain even unseen areas. Differentiated inspections according to the characteristics of the facilities will be conducted to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Additionally, to enable residents to conduct safety inspections of their homes and stores, a self-safety inspection checklist will be created and distributed to promote "Making a Safe Gangnam Together with Residents."
During last year's National Safety Inspection period, the district inspected 292 sites, discovered 55 cases requiring repair or reinforcement, and immediately addressed 32 minor issues. Gangnam-gu was selected as one of the top four outstanding districts among the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul.
