According to the Changwon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam, Mr. A was enjoying leisure activities with his family on the sea near Daejukdo, Deoksan-dong, Jinhae-gu, Changwon City, at 12:49 PM on the 14th.
During this time, the engine of the rubber boat Mr. A was on suddenly failed to start, and while attempting to fix it alone, he began to have trouble breathing.
The Changwon Coast Guard received a 119 emergency call from Mr. A’s family and dispatched the Jinhae Police Substation coastal rescue boat to the scene.
The Coast Guard provided emergency measures to secure Mr. A’s breathing and handed him over to the 119 ambulance team waiting at Jinhae Sokcheon Port, who then transported Mr. A to a nearby hospital.
