Naju-si, 'Resident Tax Individual and Business Portion' Payment Due by 31st
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyeok] On the 12th, Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced that it has imposed 593 million KRW in regular resident tax (individual portion) and 1.218 billion KRW in business place resident tax for the year 2022.
The individual resident tax payment target is individuals (household heads) who had an address in Naju City as of the tax base date, the 1st of last month, and 11,000 KRW per household, including local education tax, is imposed.
The business place resident tax target includes corporations with business places in Naju City as of July 1st and individual business owners whose previous year's value-added tax taxable standard amount is 48 million KRW or more.
Payment can be made by reporting and paying the sum of the basic tax amount (50,000 to 200,000 KRW) and the rate based on the total floor area within the deadline.
Since last year, the city has sent payment slips in advance to minimize taxpayer inconvenience regarding the business place resident tax, which changed to a report-and-pay system.
Taxpayers who pay the amount stated on the delivered payment slip by the 31st will be recognized as having reported and paid without separate reporting.
