View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Lee Jae-yong, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics, said on the 12th regarding the special pardon and restoration of rights on the August 15 Liberation Day, "I will contribute to the economy through continuous investment and creation of youth jobs."
On the same day, Lee released a statement titled 'Position on the Special Restoration of Rights Announcement,' saying, "I sincerely thank you for giving me the opportunity to start anew," and added, "I also apologize for causing concern to many people due to my shortcomings."
He continued, "I will work even harder to fulfill the responsibilities and duties of a businessperson," emphasizing, "I will contribute to the economy through continuous investment and creation of youth jobs, and repay the expectations of the people and the consideration of the government."
He also added that he will strive more to share with and grow together with our society.
