Jangseong-gun to Distribute 'Small Business COVID-19 Relief Fund' Starting from the 22nd

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong County in Jeonnam announced on the 11th that it will provide the ‘Small Business COVID-19 Overcome Support Fund,’ a pledge project of the 8th local government, starting from the 22nd.

The support target is small business owners with annual sales of less than 1 billion KRW who have business establishments in the Jangseong area as of 0:00 on the 1st of last month, and the number of regular employees by industry must meet the small business criteria.

The number of eligible recipients is about 2,800.

Applications can be made by visiting the administrative welfare center in the town or township where the business is located, and the support fund of 200,000 KRW will be paid via bank transfer.

However, entertainment or gambling-related industries excluded from Jeonnam Province’s small business policy fund loans are excluded from the support target.

Also, applicants must not be in a suspended or closed business status at the time of application, and support cannot be received without sales verification documents.

The application period is from the 22nd of this month to the 30th of next month.

Considering the expected influx of applicants at the beginning of the payment, a five-day system based on the last digit of the business registration number will be implemented from the 22nd to the 26th.

County Governor Kim Hanjong said, “The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and economic recession have severely impacted the sales of local small business owners, causing serious management difficulties. We hope the Small Business COVID-19 Overcome Support Fund will be a small hope.”
