Delivery of 3,600 Ready-to-Eat Meals and Snacks Mainly to Greatly Affected Seoul Metropolitan Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 11th that it has provided emergency relief supplies to areas affected by flooding due to heavy rain.
The relief supplies delivered this time totaled 3,600 items and consisted of ready-to-eat meals and snacks needed by residents in the affected areas, including Hetbahn, Crate Soup Dishes, The Bibigo Rice Bowl Sauce, and Matbam.
CJ CheilJedang prioritized delivery to the Seoul metropolitan area, focusing on districts with significant damage such as Seocho-gu and Yangcheon-gu, and plans to expand support nationwide upon requests from the National Disaster Relief Association.
Since 2019, CJ Group has signed agreements with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Disaster Relief Association to protect disaster victims and stabilize their lives during disasters. In particular, CJ CheilJedang has formed an 'Emergency Disaster Relief Council' to quickly provide relief supplies to flood-affected areas, and participated in relief efforts for residents during the East Coast wildfires earlier this year.
