Simmin Imsil County Governor Focuses on Key Projects Including Imsil Cheese and Companion Industry Inspection
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Shim Min, the mayor of Imsil County, is focusing on "hardworking administration" that manages key projects of the 8th local government term and public livelihood sites even amid the heatwave.
According to the county on the 9th, Mayor Shim has embarked on field administration with the determination to complete the "Seomjingang Renaissance," a promise to the residents, by smoothly finishing the pending projects promoted during the 6th and 7th local government terms within the 8th term, from the day before until the 11th.
This field administration reflects Mayor Shim’s strong will to thoroughly grasp the current status and issues of ongoing projects and promptly resolve them to achieve tangible results that residents can feel sooner.
On the first day, the 8th, he focused on inspecting pending projects in the Okjeongho area.
He checked ▲ the development of the Unam specialized complex (10.06 billion KRW) promoted to revitalize the Unam area and ▲ the development of Ssangam district front fields (10 billion KRW) as a livelihood measure for Unam-myeon residents.
Next, he inspected the final construction site of the Okjeongho suspension bridge scheduled to open next month, along with preparations for the opening and operation of Bungeo Island, including the creation of parking lots around Bungeo Island, ▲ the 2nd phase of Seomjingang Eco Museum development (25 billion KRW), ▲ tourism resource development around Yosan Park (3 billion KRW), and ▲ landscape development of Bungeo Island Ecological Park (2.4 billion KRW).
On the Haunam side, he checked ▲ the creation of the Eco Nuri Campus (4.5 billion KRW), ▲ the construction of access and connecting roads for the Eco Museum (12.62 billion KRW), ▲ the creation of the Okjeongho Water Culture Trail (5 billion KRW), and ▲ the expansion of small-scale sewage treatment facilities in Unjong and Unjeong (3 billion KRW). He also visited livelihood sites to actively seek solutions to parking problems at nearby cafes and restaurants.
On the second day, he visited Saseondae to inspect the site of ▲ landscape planting and lighting construction (500 million KRW) and the target site for the National Leisure Camping Ground. He also plans to tour the sites of ▲ the Imsil Cheese History and Culture Center construction (9 billion KRW), ▲ the Imsil Cheese Rural Theme Park development (9.7 billion KRW), ▲ the European-style Rose Theme Park development (9.8 billion KRW), and ▲ the Local Food distribution center for Imsil N agricultural specialty products (5.2 billion KRW) at the Cheese Theme Park.
He will visit Seongsusan, where the transformation project into a healing and therapeutic ecological forest is underway, to inspect major tourist site projects including ▲ the King’s Forest Ecotourism Site development (7.2 billion KRW), ▲ the Taejo Hope Forest development (8.35 billion KRW), ▲ forest leisure facility construction (6 billion KRW), ▲ forest camping site creation (3 billion KRW), ▲ natural recreation forest supplementation (5 billion KRW), ▲ access road maintenance (3.5 billion KRW), and ▲ water and sewage system expansion (4.03 billion KRW).
On the third day, he plans to visit Osu-myeon, which is emerging as a hub for the companion animal industry, to inspect construction sites including ▲ the Companion Animal Support Center construction (8 billion KRW) and ▲ Osu Uigyeon Tourist Site maintenance (5 billion KRW).
He will then check the plan for ▲ the World Famous Dog Theme Land development (18 billion KRW), for which he is currently making great efforts to secure national funding, followed by inspections of ▲ the Osu 2nd Agricultural and Industrial Complex development (20.8 billion KRW), ▲ the Imsil County Park Golf Course development (5.9 billion KRW), and ▲ the Imsil County Bandabi Gymnasium construction (12 billion KRW) underway in Imsil-eup.
Mayor Shim plans to meticulously check all conditions to accelerate the establishment of a premium tourism belt connecting Okjeongho, Imsil Cheese, Seongsusan, and the companion animal industry, which are being promoted as key projects during this field visit.
It is also expected to be an important occasion to intensively inspect measures to strengthen on-site safety nets following the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
Mayor Shim Min said, “Starting with the opening of the Okjeongho suspension bridge, we will speed up the promotion of key policies and core projects that open the Seomjingang Renaissance and produce visible results. I will frequently visit the sites to carefully monitor the progress of each project and do my best until the major pending issues and core projects of the 8th local government term are successfully completed.”
