"Explosion Sounds Near Yerusalem" Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict Enters Third Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] On the third day of armed clashes between the Israeli military and Palestinian armed groups, explosions were heard near Jerusalem on the 7th (local time), AFP reported.
AFP reported that air raid sirens sounded in western Jerusalem on that day, followed by two explosions. Shortly after, the armed group 'Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)' issued a statement saying they had fired rockets from the Gaza Strip toward Jerusalem. AFP added that the explosions were believed to be two projectiles launched from the Gaza Strip intercepted in mid-air.
