'Only the Players I Want to See'... YST Applies AI Broadcasting to 'Autumn Middle School Soccer Tournament'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] YST announced on the 5th that it will broadcast the '2022 Autumn National Middle School Soccer Tournament' using an artificial intelligence (AI) sports broadcasting platform.
Hosted by the Korea Football Association and organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Football Association, Uljin-gun Football Association, and Uljin-gun Sports Council, the Autumn National Middle School Soccer Tournament will run until the 18th.
YST will, for the first time in Korea, simultaneously stream FHD broadcast video and panoramic footage showing the entire soccer stadium during this autumn tournament. The panoramic video transmitted through YST’s AI sports platform app, 'AI Sports TV,' allows viewers to see the entire stadium and zoom in and out to watch desired areas, which the company expects to be useful for parents or soccer officials who want to focus on specific players.
The tournament broadcasts, covering both the upper and lower grade competitions, will be simultaneously streamed from the round of 16 to the finals on YST’s YouTube channel and the 'AI Sports TV' app.
YST CEO Youngsaeng Jeon said, “We hope that the use of this AI sports broadcasting system for soccer broadcasts will help advance student soccer in Korea and greatly contribute to the development of soccer and improvement of performance through AI technology.”
