Regarding his candidacy for Incheon Gyeyang-eul, Lee said, "I made the final decision that directly participating (in the election) would be more helpful for the overall local elections," adding, "It was a situation where I inevitably had to participate in the local elections, and I decided to participate after much deliberation."
