Lotte Hi-Mart Supports Rural Elderly Living Alone for Summer... Donates Fans and Snack Sets
Support Worth 130 Million Won Provided for 9 Years This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 3rd that it will provide cooling product sets worth 12 million KRW to 200 elderly living alone in rural fishing villages.
The cooling product sets consist of the private brand (PB) Hi-Made fans, snack sets, and COVID-19 prevention hygiene kits. They are scheduled to be delivered to 200 elderly living alone in 10 rural fishing villages nationwide, including Gangwon-do and Jeollabuk-do.
Two hundred Hi-Made fans will be donated to the Rural-Fishing Village Win-Win Cooperation Fund through the Foundation for Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises and Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation. The snack sets and COVID-19 prevention hygiene kits were prepared with donations from Lotte Hi-Mart employees. The snack sets mainly include health foods such as bellflower root pear juice and red ginseng candy. The COVID-19 prevention hygiene kits include masks and hand sanitizers.

A Lotte Hi-Mart official said, “We hope that the elderly in rural fishing villages will overcome the heatwave and COVID-19 and have a healthy summer this year, as the heatwave continues.” He added, “We will continue sharing activities to support the emotional and economic stability of vulnerable groups in blind spots where support is insufficient.”
