Bank of Korea Holds UCC Contest to Promote Economic Awareness Among Youth
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Bank of Korea announced on the 3rd that it will hold a 'Youth Economic Awareness UCC (User-Created Content) Contest' for middle and high school students, university (graduate) students, and youths of the same age group to encourage greater interest in the economy among young people.
The theme of this contest is 'Inflation and Our Economy,' and the submission period is from next month 5th to October 28th. Participants can enter individually or in teams of up to four members, submitting a 2-3 minute video.
Eight winning entries will be selected from the submissions, with the grand prize winner (one team) receiving a certificate of commendation in the name of the Governor and a prize of 3 million KRW. Excellence awards (three teams) and encouragement awards (four teams) will be given prizes of 1.5 million KRW and 1 million KRW, respectively.

This year's contest is the fourth time it has been held, following 2018, 2019, and 2021. It was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
