Boseong Tea Culture Multiplex ‘Botjae’ Hot Place Popularity

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced on the 2nd that the number of visitors to ‘Botjae,’ a tea culture multiplex, has more than doubled compared to the same period last year.

As of the end of July, the number of visitors to ‘Botjae’ is 43,000. To revitalize ‘Botjae,’ Boseong-gun has made various changes, such as providing bean bag sofas at the Greendahyang (cafe) and promoting the cafe and market through LED electronic displays.

Starting August 6, small concerts will also be held. The performances will take place four times in total on the 6th, 13th, 14th, and 20th, running for two hours from 1 PM.

In addition, to enhance the unique charm of the tea specialty cafe ‘Greendahyang,’ various signature menus such as ‘Green Tea Red Bean Bingsu,’ ‘Green Tea Ade,’ ‘Matcha Latte,’ and ‘Green Tea Smoothie’ have been developed.

In particular, to attract customers, a ‘cafe’ sign and ‘media glass’ have been installed on the exterior wall of the building, providing videos and visual attractions, which are analyzed to be factors contributing to the increase in visitors.

A county official said, “We will accelerate the revitalization of Boseong tourism, including Botjae, the Korean Tea Museum, Yulpo Sea Green Tea Center, and Dahyang Art Valley.” He added, “We will also do our best to discover new tourism content and diversify marketing to attract visitors.”

Meanwhile, ‘Botjae’ has a total floor area of 49,430㎡, with the first floor housing the Boseong History and Culture Hall where visitors can see Boseong’s history and culture at a glance, and the second floor hosting the tea specialty cafe Greendahyang and the Green Market where Boseong tea-related products can be purchased.
