Naju-si Conducts Mower Repair and Safety Training

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyuk] Jeollanam-do Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced on the 2nd that it will conduct mower repair and safety education for citizens planning to clear graves ahead of Chuseok next month to ensure their safety.

The city plans to deploy six specialized personnel from the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office over 14 sessions from the 11th to the 31st, providing mower repair, self-maintenance, and safe usage guidance according to the schedules of towns, townships, and neighborhoods.

Last year's first mower repair service (14 sessions, 673 units) received great response by not only preventing safety accidents for citizens preparing for grave clearing but also enhancing their mower self-maintenance capabilities.

This year, the sessions will be held in the following order: Dong area starting on the 11th, Bannam-myeon on the 12th, Seji, Sanpo, Donggang, and Dasimyeon from the 16th to 19th, Geumcheon, Munpyeong, Dado, Noan-myeon, and Nampyeong-eup from the 22nd to 26th, and Bonghwang, Gongsan, and Wanggok-myeon from the 29th to 31st.

No separate application procedure is required; citizens can bring mowers needing repair to the designated times and locations.

Repair costs are supported free of charge for parts costing less than 20,000 KRW per farm, and if costs exceed this, only the parts' original price is charged without additional labor fees.

A city official stated, "We will do our best to promote pre-inspection, repair, and education tailored to residents' needs to ensure safe grave clearing work ahead of the holiday."
