CJ OliveNetworks Expands 'Remote Internship' for Youth in Regional Hubs
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CJ OliveNetworks announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting the second round of participants for its remote internship program for regional base university students.
The remote internship program is part of the "Youth-Friendly Corporate ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Support Project" promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. CJ OliveNetworks supports university students to experience actual workplace tasks and develop digital transformation (DT) capabilities by utilizing metaverse and educational platforms.
The first round of the program, held from May to August, involved a total of 180 university students who enhanced their practical skills through basic education related to data and statistics as well as job-specific training.
The second round targets 340 second- to fourth-year students from regional base national universities, and applicants can apply until the 24th.
Participants can choose to join either the "Citizen Track," which focuses on tool-based data planning and marketer roles, or the "Expert Track," which focuses on programming-based data analyst roles. The activity period is from September 20 to November 30.
All participants will receive a welcome kit and support for recruitment and psychological counseling. Additionally, a participation allowance of up to 900,000 KRW per person will be provided. Orientation, mentoring, and opportunities to learn online content will also be offered, and certificates will be issued upon passing the DS (Data Science) exam.
Outstanding participants will receive employment consulting benefits, and the top participant will be granted benefits for the 2022 winter on-site internship program.
On the 20th of last month, Cha In-hyuk, CEO of CJ OliveNetworks, participated in the launch ceremony of the "Youth Leap Project" hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and presented the remote internship as an excellent example of a company-led program for regional youth.
