60% Increase in Sales of Vegan Products

According to Market Kurly on the 2nd, sales of vegan products in the first half of this year increased by about 60% compared to the same period last year. Sales of food items such as vegan gimbap, vegan dumplings, and vegan bread, as well as beauty products made solely from plant-based ingredients like vegan lip balm and vegan sunscreen, also showed a strong upward trend.
According to Fortune Business Insights, the global vegan food market size is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 13%, from $26.1 billion (approximately 33.9 trillion KRW) in 2020 to $61.3 billion (approximately 79.6 trillion KRW) in 2028.
