Now in its second year, the visually impaired golf tournament was jointly organized by Outback, the Korea Blind Golf Association, and MBN. The event was planned not only to promote social participation and health improvement through physical activities for the visually impaired but also to continuously discover and expand the base of visually impaired golf players.
A total of 30 players formed two groups, B1 (totally blind) and B2 (low vision), along with their coaches. They competed in group leagues on three courses using the stroke handicap play format to determine the final rankings. The competition rules applied local rules based on the International Blind Golf Association (IBGA) regulations, and each player was required to be accompanied by one coach who acted as a guide.
In the B1 category, player Choi Kyu-il won with 124 strokes (net score 70), and in B2, player Lee Seung-woo won with 88 strokes (net score 70). The net scores were calculated by applying the maximum handicaps of 54 for B1 and 45 for B2, as designated by the International Blind Golf Association.
