[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The “Ulsan City Comprehensive Industrial Accident Prevention Plan,” aimed at creating a safe and healthy workplace free from industrial accident concerns, has been established.
Ulsan City announced that it has formulated and will actively implement the “Ulsan City Comprehensive Industrial Accident Prevention Plan” in accordance with the “Industrial Safety and Health Act,” which aims to promote the safety and health of workers.
This plan consists of three main strategies and nine implementation tasks: ▲industrial accident prevention activities considering regional characteristics ▲establishment of a collaborative system among industrial safety and health-related organizations ▲and the voluntary spread of a safety and health culture.
Regarding tasks by strategy, for industrial accident prevention considering regional characteristics, tasks include ▲amending the ordinance supporting industrial accident prevention and labor safety and health ▲establishing a five-year basic plan for industrial accident prevention within the jurisdiction ▲providing safety and health education and counseling for small and micro enterprises ▲and operating safety and health guardians.
To establish a collaborative system among industrial safety and health-related organizations, tasks such as ▲forming a regional safety and health council and signing a memorandum of understanding (tentative name) ▲and attracting a national industrial accident prevention safety experience education center will be promoted.
Regarding the voluntary spread of a safety and health culture, tasks include ▲certification of excellent companies and provision of special benefits ▲implementation of industrial safety and health education ▲and promotional activities for industrial accident prevention.
