Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae-jin's 'Gongjo 2' to Release in September
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The sequel to "Confidential Assignment," which depicts the first unofficial joint investigation between North and South Korea, is coming to theaters this Chuseok holiday.
On the 1st, CJ ENM announced that "Confidential Assignment 2: International" (directed by Lee Seok-hoon) will be released in September.
The film portrays a triangular joint investigation by detectives who reunite to catch a global crime organization: North Korean detective Rim Cheol-ryeong (Hyun Bin), South Korean detective Kang Jin-tae (Yoo Hae-jin), and overseas FBI agent Jack (Daniel Henney), each joining forces with their own motives.

Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae-jin reunite following the previous film, and Daniel Henney appears as a new FBI agent. Jin Sun-kyu joins as the villain Jang Myung-jun, showing a powerful presence.
