Korail Gwangju Jeonnam Implements Joint Safety Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters conducted a safety campaign at Yeosu Expo Station on the 29th targeting train passengers and Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters employees during the summer peak transportation period in observance of the Industrial Safety and Health Emphasis Month.
About 20 executives and employees from KORAIL Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters and the Jeonnam Eastern Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency participated in this event, promoting safe summer vacations, mask-wearing, and personal hygiene management amid the resurgence of COVID-19 to approximately 600 customers using the railway.
They also provided guidance on safe boarding and alighting from trains, precautions when using escalators, prohibition of unauthorized railroad crossing, stopping at railroad crossings, and the dangers of overhead electric lines, aiming to prevent safety accidents when using railway facilities.
At major stations in the area, banners were displayed to spread safety culture and awareness, fostering safety consciousness among railway users and raising vigilance among railway workers to prevent safety accidents.
