Safety Rules Promotion Campaign for Water Play Held at Yongdam Area, Jinjeon-myeon, Changwon
A safety rules promotion campaign was conducted to prevent water play safety accidents in the Yongdam area of Jinjeon-myeon, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam.

The campaign was organized as the number of citizens visiting outdoor water play spots increased due to the recent ongoing heatwave and peak vacation season.
Changwon City safety officers distributed promotional materials including water play safety rules and COVID-19 social distancing guidelines to vacationers visiting the Yongdam valley in Jinjeon-myeon.
At Happo Waterfront Park, where a recent drowning accident occurred, and the nearby eel barbecue street, they also carried out promotional activities on prohibiting entry after drinking and coastal safety rules.
The city plans to continue safety accident prevention activities, including holding a water play safety rules promotion campaign at Gwangam Beach on August 4, which is Safety Inspection Day.

Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “We will do our best to prevent water play safety accidents during students’ summer vacation and the holiday season,” and added, “We ask citizens to strictly follow water play safety rules and practice daily quarantine rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
