Police to Investigate Motive of Crime on the 28th
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The police are investigating a teenage suspect who posted threats to assassinate President Yoon Seok-yeol and National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo on the National Intelligence Service (NIS) website.
According to the police on the 26th, starting from around 3:30 PM the previous day, six posts threatening to kill President Yoon and Speaker Kim were made on the NIS website's 111 reporting section.
This bulletin board is used to report crimes related to national security and is not accessible to the public.
The NIS informed the police of the situation around 5 PM the previous day, and the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul launched an investigation, identifying A (19) as the suspect.
