On the 26th, Im Eui-ja, a member of the People Power Party, appeared as the first questioner in the economic sector during the government questioning session and criticized, "He shamelessly continues to make excuses despite playing golf under the pretext of a business trip during the week," adding, "Who is the president here? Isn't he Kim Hyun-joon, who served as the Commissioner of the National Tax Service during the Moon Jae-in administration?"
In response, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo said, "It is regrettable to see such lax discipline so soon after being punished for real estate speculation," and added, "Through appropriate disciplinary measures, we will ensure that LH regains its spirit as a public enterprise and makes greater efforts to properly achieve its objectives."
Rep. Im urged, "Please select all and make an example of them." Prime Minister Han emphasized, "We will take appropriate disciplinary action."
Additionally, Rep. Im proposed establishing a nationwide public organization to improve workers' quality of life and to pursue a second social grand bargain.
Rep. Im stated, "If the Yoon Suk-yeol administration fails to achieve a second social grand bargain for issues such as the Labor Standards Act related to workplaces with fewer than five employees, the expansion of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, and the just transition of workers related to carbon neutrality, it will inevitably be left behind."
Prime Minister Han responded positively, saying, "I believe it must be done." He emphasized, "The most peaceful way to continuously carry out restructuring is through social grand bargains," adding, "It is an important step for the government, labor, and industry to put all issues on the table and reach a grand bargain." However, he also lamented, "So far, there have been many regrettable and disappointing incidents where what were called grand bargains were actually minor issues that eventually fell apart," and expressed, "Our economy can never become advanced if it continues to have conflicts and structural problems between labor and management."
