The Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention Engineering at Gyeongnam National University received a development fund of 3 million KRW from the Fire Scholarship Association, a representative group of fire-related personnel in the Masan and Changwon areas.

The Fire Scholarship Association is composed of representatives of fire-related companies located in the Masan and Changwon areas and has been continuously providing scholarships to the Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention Engineering at Gyeongnam National University every year.
At the ceremony held on the 26th, attendees included Jeong Hyeong-seok, head of the Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention Engineering at Gyeongnam National University, Kang Jong-man, president of the Fire Scholarship Association, professors Bang Chang-hoon, Choi Hyun-gi, Ahn Dae-young, and Kim Dong-woo from the department, representatives Yeodu-hong of Cheongmyeong Architecture, Jeong Young-shin of Hanseong BCC, No Kyung-ho of Bohyeon Fire, Kwon Tae-ho of Samhwa Paint, as well as student council representatives and related personnel.
President Kang said, “I hope this scholarship will be of some help to the students of the Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention Engineering at Gyeongnam National University, who will be responsible for the future of the fire industry. We will continue to support development funds annually to nurture outstanding talents who will contribute to the fire industry.”
