Gwangju Global Motors Achieves ISO 9001 Certification Milestone
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Global Motors has obtained the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) certification.
Gwangju Global Motors announced on the 26th that it received excellent evaluations in both product service satisfaction and conformity provided to customers, obtained the ISO 9001 certification, and held a certification awarding ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the headquarters' Win-Win Hall.
ISO certification is a system established by the International Organization for Standardization that sets international standard specifications applicable to all industrial fields and activities and certifies them through objective audits. The Quality Management System (ISO 9001) certification evaluates whether the product services provided to customers meet the specified requirements and are continuously maintained appropriately.
The Korea Management Registrar (KMR), which conducted the certification audit, is a leading certification body that performs certification audits for more than 17 international standards.
The reason Gwangju Global Motors received the ISO 9001 certification this time is due to the introduction of the best quality management system and the operation of the business site in compliance with international standard requirements.
Additionally, to realize the management philosophy of customer management, win-win management, and trust management, the company continuously improved safety and health, quality management, and environmental management systems, established consistent quality and environmental goals, and built a concrete execution system for the quality management system through periodic inspections and evaluations, which also earned high marks.
Park Kwang-tae, CEO of Gwangju Global Motors, said, “Gwangju Global Motors, which has established its status as a specialized automobile manufacturing company with win-win cooperation and the highest quality, achieving ISO 9001 certification this time is another great accomplishment. Taking this certification as an opportunity, we will continue to maintain systems that meet quality management requirements and strive to produce automobiles that satisfy customers through continuous improvement.”
Meanwhile, Gwangju Global Motors is the nation’s first win-win regional job company launched on September 20, 2019, with 37 shareholders including Gwangju Metropolitan City and Hyundai Motor Company, and is a specialized automobile manufacturing company producing the highest quality cars based on win-win cooperation.
